  For 4 years I have been rebuilding my 99 E430. The rumors are true, once you drive one, you don't want to drive anything else. So I invested in rebuilding this car, it is a wonderful luxury. A few months ago there was a problem, it was either the engine or the transmission. My regular mechanic was too far away for me to get my car to him. I had heard the rumors about Hans at Xavers from other Mercedes owners, I had no choice. 

  I barely made it to his shop. I was so upset with my car, that I threw the keys to Hans and basically said I think it is going to be cheaper to buy a new car. Being a girl and walking into an auto repair shop is like laying your head on a butcher table and waiting for the meat cleaver to finish the job. 

  An hour later Hans made the diagnosis on my car, it was not the engine or the transmission, it was little fixable things and some updates to improve the performance of the car. 

  This is when you learn the difference between mechanics and The Mechanic. Hans is The Mechanic, you bought your Mercedes for the performance of the engine, if you want to go from point A to point B and you want to enjoy the ride, Xaver's is the place.

  I have been using Xaver's for all my European cars since the 1990's. I don't trust anyone else. Friendly courteous staff, quality service.
