Mercedes-Benz has announced a worldwide recall of 2015 C-Class sedans, with approximately 10,000 in the U.S., due to a possible steering failure.

Which Mercedes-Benz models are affected by the recall?

Model year 2015 C-Class sedans.

What causes the possible steering failure?

During assembly, the steering coupling interlock may have left the factory in an open position, when it should have left in a locked position. Steering wheels may squeak and/or resist turning.

Are there any known accidents attributed to the defect?

At this time, no known accidents have been reported by Mercedes-Benz attributing to the defect.

What do I do if my car is one of those affected?

Mercedes-Benz will be notifying all owners affected by the recall soon.
