Austin Blanton

Owner

Austin, a lifelong car enthusiast and naval veteran, started his career fixing diesel equipment in the US NAVY. After serving his term in the military, he started working for the business he currently owns at only 22 years old.

At a young age, Austin knew he wanted to make a career in the automotive industry and purchased Import Auto Repair at age 28.

Austin's goals are simple. Allow his business to stand out for not only its integrity but a transparent repair process that all customers can understand and relate to. He hopes that Import Auto Repair will not only continue its legacy for being the first import specialty shop in Alpharetta, but the most professional yet personable shop around.

Some auto mechanics would say there was an issue when there wasn't just to drive revenue; not these guys. They put it on the lift, pulled the tires and checked the brakes. I am new to the area and used Import Auto Repair for a routine oil change. They scheduled me the same day that I called and upon entering I found the cleanest waiting area that I’ve ever experienced. Stephen entered my car information in the computer and said the car would be ready in about 45 minutes. So we headed out in our other vehicle for lunch. I received a text in less than 45 minutes stating that the vehicle was ready. We returned and I received a print-out that listed a couple of issues that I should consider for repairs. Overall I would say I received a five star service and definitely would recommend.

This week the team at Import Auto proved again why it pays to have a longstanding relationship with mechanics one trusts. Took my daughters car to be checked because service engine light was on. The mechanics thoroughly checked several systems to investigate the issue. It ended up being very minor (gas cap not tightened). Although they invested some time to troubleshoot, there was no charge. And a great lesson for my college-aged daughter: find a shop you trust, with integrity from service writers to mechanics, and stick with them. Just like I have stuck with Import Auto since 2007.

I got estimates for a significant mileage maintenance/service from everyone nearby. These guys did a fantastic job on my German import at an exceptional rate. In addition, my vehicle had a separate minor issue that my dealership had quoted me a ridiculous amount to fix. These guys actually fixed it for me just as a courtesy. I wish I’d started bringing my car here 50,000 miles ago.

Auto Import's was great. Not only did they repair our Van in a timely fashion. They diagnosed the problem sent pictures on everything they were going to. They repaired everything and got our Van back to in less than 24 hours which was critical. Very impressed and happy. We will continue to use them in future. Thanks Austin and Stephen

Amazing paint job on my brand new BMW. Had a small incident requiring buffing and painting of my bumper. The guys were able to match my color exactly and get it to look brand new again!! Highly recommended, very attentive, and courteous service!

We have been going to Import Auto Repair since moving to GA, almost three years now. They have always been fair and honest. Never try to push us to do any service that was not needed. Always have good advice to offer when asked. Great guys!
