Pinnacle Motor Works service our other European cars, and are first rate. But their expertise on our 1969 Mercedes 280SL was particularly critical: the car had been previously taken to a 'specialist' in the area as it was running rough. Seemed like an ignition issue, but the specialist decided it was a serious issue and performed (expensive) compression tests (which gave rather good results) and leak-down tests (which were laughably inconsistent) before telling me I needed a complete new engine - at well over $10,000 plus $$$ installation. Pinnacle Motor Works took it in for a day, properly analyzed the electrics, replaced a couple of cables, and it runs perfectly! They then properly went over the rest of the vehicle and recommended potential later issues, but with no dramatic or pressure to immediately address. I really, really appreciate finding such a capable and decent motor works.

Very pleased with the service and the price, not the dealership pricing. Excellent workmanship.

Larry and his team at Pinnacle Motor Works are always making sure the problem will be fixed. If it is something they can't do, they will make sure to contact you. Second time at Pinnacle, and again the service was better than expected.

Larry at Pinnacle Motor Works was great to deal with.I had a particular issue with not being able to drop my car off and Larry offered to pick it up in the morning and then delivered it at night. The service was very thorough and fairly priced. I will use Pinnacle Motor Works again this June for my brake flush.

they are fabulous! I have been going there for 22 years and, while there are other places I could take my car that are much closer to my home, I would not change from Larry and his crew. Sensational service.

    Here is my story -

I was looking at purchasing a 2001 E320 from a dealer in New Jersey ( I live in the Hudson Valley, New York) and Pinnacle was recommended by another MB technician all the way up here in Dutchess County, NY. The dealer was kind enough to let me take the prospective car to have a pre-purchase full inspection.

From the moment I entered the shop, Larry (the owner) made me feel welcome and he was very interested in my situation with the car asking me a lot of questions. To make a long story shorter, Larry and his senior tech took a long time to thoroughly (and I mean thoroughly) inspect this car, even personally showing me issues with the car. The amount of care and attention to detail was as good as it gets. These guys know these cars as well as the folks in Germany who make them.

The car ended up having way too many issues to purchase, and had it not been for Larry, I would purchased a prospective headache. This was $125 worth every penny. They took over 2 hours inspecting the car. In short, I was treated with care and guidance akin to a loyal customer of 10 or 15 years, and this was my first experience with Pinnacle. Customer service on this level is rare these days - every business could learn some things about the proper way to treat customers with this amount of care, honesty, and integrity. Even the woman who worked the desk (can't recall her name) was nice and made friendly conversation.

Bottom line: if I end up purchasing a MB or another German auto, I would use Larry as my technician exclusively. And I live 93 miles away (with in-laws nearby in Cedar Knolls). That right there is the proof-in-the-pudding at how highly I think of Larry and Pinnacle after just one encounter.

Easily a 10/10 in every category. I wish this shop was in New York! ;)

I have been using Pinnacle with great success for about 15 years and they've cared for my last 4 Mercedes vehicles. In fact, I started using them when the former owner of my first MB (who had been going to Larry's shop for over 10 years) told me how great they were to work with.

I encourage readers to take a look at Larry's reply to the complaint from "Charlotte". That is EXACTLY the methodology they use when they suggest repairs. These are complicated vehicles so they carefully explain what they feel is absolutely necessary, what could yield benefits to the vehicle's performance, what is in danger of breaking down 3-6 months down the road, etc. The owner makes his/her choice after that.

I have recommended several people to him and each one comes back to thank me for the info. At present, I travel almost an hour to bring my cars in to his shop. It's well worth it.

My whole family and I have been taking our cars to Larry for years - Acura, Mercedes, Audi, BMW. I know him personally and he is as good a guy as you get - straightforward and honest, professional, let's you know upfront what you need and what could be done but might be optional. Amazing customer service, he always is okay with us paying after the fact, doesn't ask for deposits, is okay with key drops, just makes the whole experience so easy and convenient. Plus, if you keep taking your car there, they have all the records of what they have done and know your vehicle. I have never ever had any problems here in all my years using Pinnacle and love their service, they have even fixed things for free for me as a favor, they really treat loyal customers well and are way more reliable than dealers or sketchy local mechnics but they have all the same computer systems and use only dealer-approved factory parts. My cars have been running smoothly for years. He also can refer you out to people like auto body shops if that's what you need, and he has done some cool work for me that goes beyond repair like installing parking sensors in my BMW, etc. You have to at least give these guys a chance, you won't regret it!!

Using Pinnacle 25+ years to service 1970 280 SL, 2007 S550 and 2001 Porsche 911. Thanks to Pinnacle after 300,000 miles SL continues to run like day one. Larry & Wing are talented professionals who truly take and show pride in their work. If necessary have always opted for flat bedding to Pinnacle over more convenient alternatives and never regretted incurring additional cost.

We have been enthusiastic Pinnacle customers since c.1993. All our cars are serviced there (lately 5 autos). All work is completed to the highest standards with excellent communication and customer service. Only an out-of-state auto emergency would find my cars being serviced anywhere else. I have recommended Pinnacle to friends who are now loyal "Pinnaclites"! Do not waste time and money elsewhere.

I have been taking my Mercedes to Pinnacle for a couple of years. There are other mechanics who specialize in Mercedes closer to my home, but no others I feel I can count on the way I count on Larry. The work is professional -- always well done. I have always been happy with the quality of the service and the positive way they deal with customers. I have recommended Pinnacle to several friends.

This is the 2nd mercedes I have owned and I have used Pinnacle for both. While there are several compamies in my area that service this make, my loyality will always be with Pinnacle. Not only is their service impeccible, they are accommodating and gracious to deal with. They even went so far as to have one car inspected when they realized it was due later that month. It would be impossible to replace this kind of service.
