Jeff Byrn started working on his first car in 1993 and professionally on European and Japanese cars in 1996 but found himself most comfortable working in the Parts and Service Departments at Sam Swope BMW where he was there for 15 years.
John Kephart started in the business back in 2000 and is a Level 1 Master Technician. He spent 11 years at Sam Swope BMW and has another 8 years of experience in local independent BMW Shops. He will serve the role as Shop Foreman ensuring that your vehicle is fixed right the first time upholding quality and performance standards. He prides himself in offering a complete package of services and advice to obtain our customer's goals and needs.

John and Jeff are awesome guys with integrity and a wealth of knowledge. They understand owning BMWs, VW, Mercedes, etc aren’t inexpensive and their work gives you incredible value. BMW of Louisville told me I needed 10,000$ for a new engine, after charging me one hour of labor, they saved me almost $8,00 by not be lazy. They replaced a camshaft and valve cover and I’m back on the road! Thanks!
This mechanic shop is in a great location, right off Hurstbourne/Plantside area. I feel like I can trust them not to rip me off when giving me advice about my car. I definitely will call them again if I need any work done on my BMW. This place provided a second opinion & $800 saved - I’m glad I got it.

I contacted GermanTech for significant work (several oil leaks) on my daughters BMW. Not being from the local area, I had to rely on customer reviews and phone communications. I couldn't have been more happy with the results. They provided a free rental for my daughter while her car was in the shop. They also communicated regularly alone the way as they got into the repair and discovered other issues that needed attention beyond what was estimated. I took advantage of a couple of issues and declined others without feeling any pressure from our customer service rep (Bridget). She was very knowledgeable of what was going on with the repair and sympathetic to me trying to get my daughter's car into a safe and derivable condition with consideration of cost to me. At the end of the repair I got a detailed report of what was fixed and what might need attention in the future. Their warranty exceeded the local BMW dealership and other shops I'd called in the area. The facilities appeared clean and well equipped with a number of service bays busy with work. It had a very professional feel to it. I even received a follow-up email asking about my satisfaction with the repair and their availability to service my daughters car in the future. They have earned my confidence and respect for future work. I don't hesitate to give them my highest recommendation!
Excellent service for our BMW M convertible & Audi Q7. Better prices & better service than dealerships. Located in brand new building at end of an industrial street but still close to interstate. They also use the latest digital technology to give work estimates and to approve/deny work items which provides so much info to make informed decisions. So glad a friend referred me here! They even follow up after service to ensure 100% satisfaction
These folks are really good at what they do. I especially enjoy the emailed approval document that they send after the assessment. Even included pictures of some of the stuff that needed to be repaired. I was able to go through and approve each thing that I wanted to be completed. Never had that before and it really gave me the time to think and research each item. The work was performed timely and - to me - seemed to be done very professionally. Everyone that I communicated with was very nice and helpful. This place makes me wish I owned more German cars!
I had a good experience with GermanTech. Because of my work schedule I did not engage with anyone in person. I both dropped car off, and picked up, after hours. Repairs took slightly longer than anticipated but I'd rather things be done correctly than rush. I also did not have much time to compare pricing for repairs but pricing seemed appropriate for type. Facility appeared clean and orderly which goes a long way towards confidence. I like that their focus is on German cars.
I cannot stress enough how honest and helpful this shop is. This is by far the best customer service I have received at every level. They take what can feel maddening and make it a nearly pleasant experience. I will be using this shop for all of my repair and maintenance needs. I highly recommend.

LFM Service is one of the best Mercedes repair places I have ever been too. Their facility is one of best I have ever been in. Their mechanics are professional and know what they are doing and the staff there makes you feel like family. I would highly recommend.
I took my 2005 CL65 to LFM Service, not only did they do the job for almost half of what the dealer wanted but I was treated with respect. I found them through a friend and they came highly recommended and I can see why! The building and offices are very nice and comfortable, and the Mercedes-Benz tech they had was a master mechanic at the local dealership! I will be recommending LFM Service to all my family and friends!
