An outstanding shop and the only one I trust in Chicago. Half the labor rate of The dealer and only repairs what is broken. Trustworthy and rates are reasonable. Try them out!

I read the reviews from the people who had their vehicles serviced at WW and decided to have them service a BMW X5 I had recently purchased. I needed electrical work done on the windows and I was experiencing a hard/no start. After my vehicle was there for 1 wk I heard nothing from the shop so I decided to give them a call for an update. I was told that the electrical system was unplugged and some other vague responses by the mgr Josh because my mechanic Sean was unavailable. He eventually called me back and let me know that the elec. system was unplugged and that I needed a device for a rear window which came to approx $325 prts & labor. He also said that he was still checking the vehicle for the hard start issue and if more work was needed he would call me for an approval. After several days Josh calls my husband to tell him the vehicle was ready and the bill was nearly $1300. Unbelievable for work that was NEVER discussed with me. After going back & forth the bill came down to $925. The next day the vehicle stopped on me and had to be towed from Schereville IN and they would only cover $99 of a $180 tow fee. Lo and behold the bill for pickup this time was $1750. I had to take the vehicle back again after I was charged for an AC charge that never was done. My vehicle still is not performi g as it shoud despite all of the diagnostics and services WW performed. I guess I got red flags from day one when NOBODY called me in over a week for a status update. No I wouldn't recommend the shop. How could I?

So happy that I brought my car here. I have a 2008 C300 and the staff was amazing. I came in after having a diagnostic performed at the dealer and the shop was more than fair in the price that they gave me. Could've made some additional money off of me but let me know that certain things didn't need to be done (even though the dealer swore that it did). Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be going back for additional service!!!

If you drive a MB, you're probably doing well...but I don't believe you have to be punished/ripped off for that. This shop seems like they know what they are actually doing. The only problem I have here is with one of the Mechanics who they've assigned to work on my car on 2 occasion. I acknowledge that i do not know much about car but quoting >$400 for 4 spark plugs (2005 MB) is just bad. Even MB store won't do that. On my first repair to change one of my O2 sensors, this mechanic made me pay >$500 for what I later found out is way less. I do not recommend against going to this store but I recommend that you tell the Owner that you don't want to do business with this mechanic. I had to write this review for people like me who knows nothing about cars.

I read through the review and I looked into my database for first name Mike with a 2005 MB. I did not find anyone named Mike with a 2005 MB who spent $400 on a spark plug replacement. Also the C280 has a 6 cyl engine which has 6 or 12 plugs depending on the Vin! If you can provide an invoice I will be more than happy to review it. I have Josh Truong and Sean Au who are my shop manager and assistant who will never up charge any customers. If you can not provide an invoice then I will take this as a bogus review.

Karim and his team did a fantastic job (service, small body work and detailing) on my MB350 2007 bringing it to an almost new status. Not only was the result fantastic but it was also below the cost estimate. Fantastic work – I will definitely be back ;-).

Great clean knowledable shop in all German engineering. I took my mercedes there for tune up/ break job and has cost me save me 50% compared to other 3rd party dealers/oem dealers. I have never been a big believer of dealership repair shops as i think they would hire anyone off the street. Karim ( the owner) has over 20 years of experience in the industry and hand picks his techs. Parts are bought from OEM dealers so you are never getting autozone junk. They are very flexible about what you need done and customer service by Tom is one of the main reasons i will keep coming back.

I have owned over 60 different cars during the last 30 plus years, and have never had better experieneces with auto mechanical and body work then the ones I"ve had with Karim, Thomas and the guys at Wizard Werks. The other reviewers here went into good detail about the type of things Karim does that no one does anymore when it comes to customer service. I can only echo those thoughts. If the world operated on the same level of fairness, friendliness and honesty we'd all be very happy folks. I will never take my cars anywhere else. It's that simple. Thanks Karim. See you in the spring for tune ups, paint work and details.

I have a brief history of love affairs with foreign vehicles – two Peugeots, a Volkswagen and a Mercedes. I prefer to do as much work as possible on my vehicles (you don’t have much choice with a Peugeot), but due to complexity, tool available and my work schedule, I’ve had to defer to an experienced MB mechanic most recently.

Karim and the group at Wizard Werks in Chicago exceeded any experience I’ve had at any other shop (specific to German vehicle maintenance), or even dealer, regardless of dealership prices.

First and foremost, Karim’s communication needs to be mentioned. I called over the phone asking for a quote on service. He promptly delivered a PDF quote for labor and materials before the end of the day as he previously promised following his ability to obtain pricing on original Mercedes Benz parts. While all the work done, he was in touch over the phone, via email and also included pictures of the maintenance progress. For additional work to be done above what I intended to bring it in for, we casually talked about it and agreed on a price, time to be performed, etc. Just for reference, the work I had done was extensive and covered all facets of my CLK 430 – cosmetic, required mechanical and “convenience” features too:

    -sunroof motor

    -passenger seat motor

    -alternator, belts

    -valve cover gaskets

    -rear brakes, rotors

    -motor mounts

Second, Karim delivered the price, discounted labor despite some time consuming hang-ups (the sunroof motor required circuit board troubleshooting) and stuck to the original estimate in writing and over the phone (he even threw in a 10% discount on the MB parts). Additionally, while the body work guy was working on another vehicle, he even pulled out a small but eyesore of a dent on the front quarter panel, free of charge as a thank you for my business.

Lastly, upon picking up the vehicle (which the shop provided me a ride to and from work for both drop off and pickup), Karim took about 45 minutes to walk me through everything done, provided parts removed and a detail synopsis of the car’s health, if you will. He insisted this was important as I was a first time customer and earning my trust was critical to his business and my satisfaction.

Without a doubt, this is the best my Mercedes has run since owning it (noticeably better than when received from the dealership). In the past I’ve had work done at several other European mechanic shops as well as three Chicago land dealerships. However, by comparison, Karim runs a superior, first-class operation at Wizard Werks and has earned a lifelong customer.

I have owned 3 mercedes over the past 20 years, needless to say I have encountered various repair issues. I always go to the dealer from whom I purchased the vehicles for repairs. Two days ago my alternator went out on my 2002 c240; I could not get to my dealer in the southwest suburbs without incurring prohibitive tow costs. I came on-line in search of an alternative solution and saw this site. I read the comments, contacted them and had my vehicle towed there. 24 hours later, my car has been repaired at a price that was more than fair. I was so satisfied that I picked up flyers to place in my buildings mailroom ( I live in a Hyde Park highrise and we have a lot of foreign car owners here). I will now use them for all my service needs.

My first experience with Wizard Works and it was a good one. CLS550 was repaired quickly and professionally. They dropped me off at work and would have picked me up if I needed. I had 3 estimates and theirs was the best.

Good guys to work with, I would highly recommend giving them a try.

The service and quality at Wizard Werks is unsurpassed. Very professional and courteous staff that takes the time to assess the problem and fix it in the most efficient manner possible. It doesn't matter if I bring in my vintage Mercedes, my G500, or my BMW 7 series they know how to handle any make and model. They really do treat your car like their own and they are by far the only people I trust to handle any repairs or maintenance on any of my cars.

    My garage consists of:

    2 Ferraris

    Mercedes S550

    Porsche 911 Cab

    Mercedes ML430

    Range Rover Supercharge

I have only used Wizard Werks for the past 3 years simply because of the service, quality of work and simplicity. Ownership there has always treated my cars like if they were their own. Not only has all the work been done to the tee but the cars are waiting for me in immaculate condition. I have had Wizzard Werks do everything from brake repairs, oil changes to body work for me and they have never failed to amaze me! Thanks for the service guys!

I love European Cars. I currently own an Audi A8, a Mercedes E350 4matic, a classic 560 SEC and a classic BMW M6. Needless to say, I have tried out German dealership services as well as several independent mechanics for car repairs in Chicago area with mixed results. It only took one trip to Wizard Werks for me to become a repeat customer.

These guys are European car enthusiasts and their passion is German marquee. They love these cars and want them to perform as well as they look. Their work shows attention to detail and their objective is to get the car fixed the first time around. Their Honesty, Transparency and Customer Service is better than anyone in the Business and I can safely guarantee that their repair costs are most competitive among the German specialist mechanics in the Chicago land area.

If you are looking for a trustworthy independent and full service mechanic, look no further than Wizard Werks. You will not be disappointed.
