Salim's was our worst mechanic experience. Our car was there off-on from 5/22/2018 to 8/24/2018. Air conditioner misdiagnosis led to slow, costly, incomplete replacement. Used parts for light control unit and stop lamp switch didn’t work. Fuses were not replaced. Sent home twice with brake lights not checked and stuck at on. We went elsewhere to have errors corrected properly.

What a terrific experience they offer to the customers at Salim's Silver Star Auto Service. Staff is friendly, providing very personal service, knowledgeable mechanics and a very involved owner in Gus. From start to finish they far exceeded my expectations If you love your Mercedes, want a knowledgeable and caring staff, look no further, you'll be treated with respect.

I normally wouldn’t take the time to write a bad review, but I’m in shock at the service provided. I had heard such great things through word of mouth that the bad reviews they received must have been flukes. So I towed my car to them in hopes they could get it to start. It only had 1 problem which was a turn key no start. After approx 30 days shy of them having my car for a year, they inform me they can’t get it to start and I must have jumped it backwards, the car is pretty much a parts bucket now. The car has only ever been touched by certified mechanics, so I figured get a second opinion from the dealership. The dealership contacts me within a day to tell me that I need a new steering loch assembly which wasn’t a previous issue. A few days later they call and tell me one of my fuse box’s are faulty. A day or two later they tell me they have the car started and running. The moral is you bought a Benz, suck it up and take it to the dealership. It may cost (just) a hundred or 4 more but you’ll have your car back in a very timely manner without the hassle or headache that myself and a few other reviewers put ourselves through

I have been in the Salims "family" for over 20 years. This is a family owned and operated business that supports / gives back extensively to the community, schools and military. Not only is the entire staff knowledgable, friendly, caring and accommodating, but the prices are very reasonable as well. They don't do unneeded work or try to up-sell services. A great majority of Salims customers have been in the "family" for years if not decades! That says a lot about the quality of work and dedication to customer service.

Additionally, Salims sells Mercedes at FANTASTIC prices! I've ordered two from them and have received exactly what I wanted: color, mileage, model, year, condition and price, and soon I'll be buying my third from them!

If you live anywhere within a couple of hours of Colorado Springs it is worth the drive to Salims for your pocketbook and piece of mind.

If you are looking for an excellent shop for your Benz and are within driveing distance of this shop, this is the place. I live 375 miles north and bypass many other shops to have these guys work on my car. Reliable, best craftsmen I have seen in years. Helpfull, resonably priced both labor and parts. If you have questions they take the time to visit with you. This is rally really good if you have an older car.
