The Benz Doctor – Ray Valdez – did a terrific job sorting out the various issues with my 2014 CL550. Ray was especially conscientious in trouble shooting, repair and reassembly of affected components and systems. Charges were completely in line, especially considering that all the work was done by a senior master technician with 30+ years of hands-on experience. A really great deal! Highly recommended for Benz owners within driving distance of central San Mateo County, California.

I am so blessed to have found The Benz Doctor! Ray is so accommodating, knowledgeable, and reasonable. He has proven to be very trustworthy and honest too. I was using him before I moved to Kelseyville but I still continue to use him even though he is now 3 hours away! That is how much I believe in his work and his integrity. As long as I have a Mercedes, he will be my mechanic!

I bought a 2nd hand 2009 MB C300 and was looking for a mechanic who can check the engine of the car. I found The Benz Doctor while searching thru Google and gave it a shot. Ray (the owner) is very professional and friendly. He responded quickly thru email telling me to drop off the car the next day for diagnostics. He did not charge me for diagnosing and checking the car. He found oil leaks and explained to me how much would be the cost before fixing it. He did B-service, fluid top-offs, fixed the oil leaks and washed the car! The service that he did has a warranty (if any issue comes up, he will do check his work again and figure out what went wrong). He's pricing is very reasonable and fair.

2 weeks after he did maintenance on my car, the engine light turned on, I texted him and as always, he responded quickly. He did check my car the next day and diagnose the car with no charge. I left my car overnight at his shop just so he can run a thorough diagnosis/fix it and the next day, my car is good to go free of charge!

I am a new customer and all I can say is Ray is one of the best mechanic you can trust! He did extra mile to make me happy and satisfied and i'm sure I am not the only one who experienced his high-quality service. So if you are one of those people who are in need of an expert MB mechanic, you will never go wrong with The Benz Doctor, Ray! His service is more than the dealership!

Ray is very polite and honest and a good mechanic. We have know each other more than 10 years. I bought from him over 9 different models of Benz cars. He still does my car service. I appreciate his service and recommended him to my friends and family.

I had never been able to find the right mechanic for my two Mercedes, until I found The Benz Doctor. Raymond is the most accessible, accommodating, and thorough mechanic ever. He went above and beyond to solve the complex water damage and electrical problems in my 2001 Benz. If you have a Mercedes that you care about and want to keep in tip top shape, go to Ray. I don’t want to go to any other mechanic now that I’ve found this shop.

I was introduced to Ray approximately 11 years ago. It’s a great feeling when you finally found ‘your mechanic’. I’ve never been one that did well with car issues and maintenance. It’s stressful and confusing to me. Ray has always been patient with me from Day 1, carefully explains everything in a way I can fully understand. He has treated my car as his own. Ray speaks the truth and I trust him fully. He’s fair and extremely knowledgeable. Ray has always put the customer first, he works with my schedule, conveniently located and will always service my Mercedes.

I recently needed work done on my car and researched a few places. I ended up calling Ray at the Benz Doctor and taking a leap of faith. I am glad I did! I remember our first conversation when he told me, he valued the relationship with owner/car and it wasn't just about a business transaction. He shared what he would and the price and kept his word (no mark ups). When I picked up my car he walked me through all the work he did, I really appreciated that. Ray has been servicing my '18 CLA 250 for about a year. His attention to detail and clear communication is great. He's accommodating and very down to earth. Being a business owner myself, the thing that I admire about other business owners is their clarity. And Ray is always clear. Whatever the issue is with my car, he's straight to the point and gets the job done. From full service to body work, he pays attention to details. I've recommended The Benz Doctor to all of my fellow Benz drivers and will continue to see him for service.

I go to The Benz Doctor exclusively and I am a customer for life. Ray (the owner) is an experienced mechanic who specializes in only Mercedes. He does all the work himself, and he treats my car the way he treats his own vehicles. I know he will work on your Mercedes the same way as well!

Ray takes the time to explain what's going on with your vehicle, has really put me at ease, and has undone most/all of the unpleasant experiences I've had at the dealership and other repair shops (unnamed). I fully recommend The Benz Doctor and Ray for his expert knowledge, very reasonable and competitive and transparent pricing, and his professionalism and high degree of personal integrity.

For reference, I have a GL350 with some very troublesome issues, including problems caused by another repair shop before I discovered The Benz Doctor. My SUV has been in Ray's shop at least 8 times in 2018, and Ray has basically rebuilt and fixed the suspension to better than new.

This is cross-posted from Yelp, but I recently discovered Benzshops as well. I also want to point out that since Ray does the work himself, he has complete control over the quality of work, and that's how I know that he fixes his customers' vehicles as if they are his own.

Ray was easy to work with. I was referred to him by a friend who had work done with him in the past. I was impressed by his honesty and professionalism. I made an appointment online for The Benz Doctor and he spoke to me right when I entered the shop. My Mercedes had a check engine light that popped up. He told me he would complete a diagnosis free of charge. Ray then told me the results and if what he thought. He even told me to go get a second opinion and not to feel obligated to have the job done there. Ray is extremely knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend The Benz Doctor.

Ray the owner of The Benz Doctor is the only one that has worked on the 3 Mercedes that I have owned over the last 15 years. He is an extremely qualified mechanic. It's always repaired properly. He always goes above and beyond the "call of duty." He is an honest mechanic which is extremely hard to find now a days. The shop is spotless. Keep up the awesome service, Ray!

I have two Mercedes (C240 and E350) serviced by Ray. Over the years, I have a transmission and front suspension rebuilt, CAT and MAF sensors replaced, brakes, plugs, door locks and scores of other wear and tear items. I am always awed by the number of AMGs there but Ray worked on my cars with the same attention to details as the other super cars in his shop, The Benz Doctor.

Ray is great! His service is much cheaper than any other Mercedes repair shop and I was able to get my service done very quickly. The Benz Doctor is one of the best repair shops I have been to and I will definitely come back for future services. I would highly recommend to anyone who needs a Benz service!

Ray went above and beyond! He was relentless at tracking down a seemingly impossible ABS code. He refused to let me pay anymore than the original quote! Not even for the extra parts! who does that?!

Even though my car is under warranty I bring my car to Ray, The Benz Doctor. He takes it to the dealer for me and that avoids many hassles for me. I just drop it off then pick it up, easy as that.. very good work area, clean and modern.. I recommend all Mercedes-Benz owners to try The Benz Doctor.

"The Benz Doctor" was a dream come true. He did such a great job on my Mercedes-Benz. The job was done on time and for a reasonable price.
