Mercedes onboard computers will alert the driver when service is due via FSS. The Flexible Service System calculates in both miles and time, how long before you need to service your vehicle. Additional factors, such as operating conditions, stop and go driving, high speed driving, cold starts, and oil usage are also calculated to determine the time/distance between service visits. The service required message can range from "A" thru to "H", H being longest and A shortest.
